Hello!  You may know me as the LISD Fine Arts Director; however, I am also highly active in promoting mental wellness and awareness pertaining to depression and suicide.  I am a Survivor of Suicide, having lost my wife in 2006, as well as two of my own students prior to coming to LISD.  My session will focus on ways for each of us to pay attention to the mental and emotional well-being of our students, our staff, and ourselves.  I'll share with you how to recognize the signs of depression, as well as ways to help those who may be struggling, especially during these challenging times.  Finally, I'll share ways in which you can help those who have lost a loved one.
