Okay, We Are A Team! Now What? (Session Repeats: Monday 8:45, 1:15)

Team structures are not a new thing in the world of education; we have had team structures, effective or not, in our schools for decades.

The question we have not addressed is: Because we are a team, what should we be doing when we are together as a team? What does collaboration look and feel like, and how do we answer the 4 Key Questions of a Professional Learning Community? (What do we want our students to learn? How do we know that learning has occurred? How do we respond when learning did not occur? How do we respond when learning did occur?)

This session will review the 3 big ideas of a Professional Learning Community at work and address the team actions necessary to answer those 4 key questions. Participants will engage in the work of a team: analyzing data, linking adult actions and best practice to data, and planning a response as a team to support the needs of struggling learners.
